UHMW Compression Molding

What is UHMW Compression Molding?
UHMW is a challenging material to process because of its extremely high viscosity. It does not melt and flow like typical thermoplastics, so standard injection molding is not suitable. UHMW is usually shaped by compression molding. In this process, UHMW powder is placed into a mold, compressed under very high pressure, and heated below its melting point so that the polymer chains fuse together. This method produces strong, wear-resistant components with excellent dimensional stability.
Depend on our expertise in mold design, material handling, and process optimization, we provide UHMW compression molding solutions that combine durability, precision, and cost efficiency. Our team ensures fast turnaround, tight tolerances, and consistent quality, while offering flexible production from prototypes to high-volume runs. This allows us to deliver tailored, long-lasting UHMW parts that meet the unique requirements of diverse industries.
